Most of what I write about here is fairly light on. But this has been bugging me. Nobody in this country has been privy to the exact details of the case, and every bit of evidence that was presented. That said however, there are a couple of things that I just don’t get.
I saw footage of her boogie-board bag, and an attempt to show the court how she supposedly smuggled the weed into the country. The person trying to show the court could barely zip up the bag again once all the marijuana was in. Had it not been so serious – it would have been amusing. To my eyes, it is obvious that Schapelle would have had to have had a death wish – of course her bag would have been searched, if not – it probably would have burst open anyway with the way baggage throwers (erm handlers) are known to treat luggage.
The other thing that bugs me a little, why the hell would she have taken the marijuana into the country anyway? Indonesia is one of the quality growing capitals in this part of the world, why she would take so much Australian crap into the country astounds.
All of this tends to suggest that Ms Corby must be a complete fool, to my mind, that is the only way that she would have attempted this. For all that I have seen of her – she does not appear to be.
